ATV accident claims life of local man Melodie Phelps News Editor A local man died Saturday evening as the result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident near the Parnell community. Brian Scott Morrow, 36, was pronounced dead at 10:55 p.m. Saturday at the Wayne County Hospital Emergency Room, according to Deputy Coroner Forrest Hicks. Hicks indicated that Morrow had been driving a four-wheeler with a group of others when the accident occurred. Apparently Morrow was attempting to climb a hill, when the ATV rolled over backwards and fell on him. Hicks stated that Morrow sustained critical head and chest injuries. Wayne County EMS was dispatched to the scene and utilized the four-wheel drive Ranger vehicle that allows them access to wooded areas that are off-road. EMS contacted Air Evac, which landed near the scene and transported Morrow to the local hospital where he died a short time later. Add a comment |
