Lake Cumberland 5-Mile Run, 2-Mile Walk set for September 3 The Lake Cumberland 5-Mile Run and 2-Mile Walk will be September 3 at the Monticello-Wayne County Memorial Park. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. The race and walk will begin at 8 a.m. All participants will receive a race T-shirt and are eligible for cash and door prizes. A three night Conley Bottom Resort houseboat trip will be awarded. Trophies will be presented for the following in the 5-mile run: age group-first, second, third; and for first place male/female overall, masters, and grandmasters. The entry fee is $12 prior to August 26. After August 26 and on the day of race, the fee is $15. 2-Mile walk entry fee is $12. Proceeds will go to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes/Anybodies.
