ALFRED EMERY ABBOTT Sept. 28, 1929-Sept. 2, 2005 Alfred Emery Abbott, age 75, passed away Friday, September 2, 2005 at the Wayne County Hospital. He was born September 28, 1929 in Wayne County, the son of the late Rev. Emery Albert Abbott and Susie Melinda Worley Abbott. On July 26, 1950 he married Betty Winchester Abbott who survives. He is survived by two children grandchildren; two step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters Florence Ramsey and Lee Brittenham; and two brothers Delbert Abbott. He was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Monday, September 5, 2005 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dewey Burks officiating. Burial was in the Rogers Grove Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Fall Creek Baptist Church Building Fund. Hoyt G. Hickey and Son in charge of arrangements.
