KERMIT H. BELL April 26, 1937-Aug. 22, 2005 Kermit H. Bell, age 68, of the Rocky Branch community, passed away Monday, August 22, 2005 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born April 26, 1937, the son of the late Andy and Anna Gregory Bell. On June 15, 1963 he married Betty Lou Bell who survives. He is survived by two daughters three brothers grandchildren. He was a retired road construction worker and a farmer. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 25, 2005 in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Curtis Burnett officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery. Hoyt G. Hickey and Son in charge of arrangements. Reader Comments Louis Bertram (9/13/2005) I went to Wayne Hi. with Kermit. He was a year behind me in school but we were good friends. I always found him to be a joy to be around. I wish I had known him in later years. Ann Dolen Cook (9/8/2005) I gruaduated with Kermit and a former classmate emailed me to tell me of Kermits death. I have been watching the Wayne Co. Outlook for details of the funeral etc. It was finally on the computer tonight (Sept. 8, 2005) and according to the article he died on August 22, 2005. Also, the article was brief to say the least - it does not name his daughters, does not name his brothers or even give the number of grandchildren. I usually do look to see who is listed in the obituary section but since I have been gone from Monticello for such a long time I usually don't recognize the names. However, since it is someone that I graduated with, it would be nice if the obituary had a few more details about the person. Thanks. Add a comment |
