ROBA ACREY Jan. 24, 1926-Oct. 2, 2005 Roba Acrey, age 79, of Monticello, Ky. passed away Sunday, October 2, 2005 at his home in Monticello, Ky. He was born January 24, 1926 in Wayne County, Ky., the son of William Acrey and Lillie Thurston Acrey who preceded him in death. He married Ruth Guffey who survives. He is survived by two sons-Dennis Acrey of Monticello, Ky., and Tom Acrey of Lawton, Okla.; two daughters-Josephine Morris of Monticello, Ky., and Gwendaline Leffew of Kingston, Ga.; two brothers-Hubby Acrey of Monticello, Ky., and Wendell Acrey of Chicago, Ill.;one sister-Iza Denney of Rossville, Ill.; ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother-Dock Acrey. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tommy Nelson and Bro. Randall McPherson officiating. Burial was in the Choate Cemetery. Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Add a comment |
