Upchurch charged with trafficking in marijuana The Wayne County Sheriff¹s Department and Operation UNITE executed a search warrant on the Kelly Lane Road on October 21. A large quantity of unprocessed marijuana and firearms were seized during the search. Gale Upchurch was arrested and transported to the Wayne County jail and charged with trafficking in marijuana over five pounds and possession of a controlled substance second degree.
