with their annual awards banquet. This season was a highly successful one,

as the sixth grade Lady Cards went undefeated at 15-0, seventh grade Lady

Cards went 17-1, and the eighth grade Lady Cards went 19-18.

Awards were given to each player for contributing to this year's

success. Coach Jarrad Parmley and Coach Justin Alley presented their teams

with awards and thanked the loyal fans of the program, which have played a

key role in this year's success.

Among those thanked for their contributions: Superintendent John Dalton,

Middle School Principal Robert Wixson, Turner Intermediate Principal Allen

Clark, Transportation Director Philip Burton, Lady Cardinal Head Coach Tim

Pyles, Wayne County High School for use of the cafeteria, Telene Pyles,

Cathy Criswell, Pamela Eicher, Hannah Roberts, Lyndon Parmley, Jeffery

Edwards, Assistant Coach Melissa Gossage, and all the parents, players and

fans.

Coach Parmley presented sixth and seventh grade awards, while Coach

Alley presented eighth grade awards. Each sixth and seventh grade player was

presented with a trophy for their dedication and hard work over the past

year.

The five true eighth grade players were each presented trophies and a

gift as a, "thank you" for their hard work and dedication over the years.

Eighth grade girls were Emily Eicher, Samantha Sexton, Penny Owens,

Natalie Hicks, and Ashley McGinnis.

Other individual trophies were given for the eighth grade team. Trophies

were presented to: Kayla Bowlin, scoring leader and steals leader; TaShea

Pyles, field goal percent leader and sixth man award; Katie McClellan, 110%

award; Samantha Sexton, 3 point percent leader and free-throw percent

leader; Emilie Sexton and Emily Eicher, rebound leaders; and Brandi Guffey,

The evening concluded with the players presenting gifts to their

coaches, Melissa Gossage, Jarrad Parmley, and Justin Alley.
