Voter registration changes need to be made by Dec. 30 Voters who want to change their party registration need to keep a few things in mind as the deadline approaches. The actual deadline for the change is December 31 in order to be eligible to cast a vote for that party in the May primary election. But those who plan to turn in registration changes in person will have to do so by Friday, December 30, since the courthouse will be closed December 31 for the holiday. Voter registration changes may also be mailed to the clerk's office and as long as they are postmarked by December 31, they will also be accepted.
