Parade set for Battery C The Monticello-Wayne County Chamber of Commerce is organizing a homecoming parade for C Battery, which returned from Iraq over the weekend. The parade will be Sunday, February 5 at 2 p.m. Everyone is invited to participate in the parade, and the Chamber is encouraging float entries. There will be no walkers, no marchers, and no horses in the parade. It will begin on Main Street at Hardwood Drive and will proceed to the Wayne County High School gymnasium, where a community service is planned for the troops at approximately 3:30 p.m. There is no registration fee for the parade, though anyone who would like to participate must call by Friday, February 3 to enter.
