Bond reduction is denied

A motion for bond reduction for Rodney Burnett, who is accused in the

stabbing death of Gregg Jones, was denied. Circuit Judge Vernon Miniard,

Jr., denied the motion during a hearing on Tuesday, January 17.

Burnett is charged with murder in connection with the June incident and

has been jailed since that time. Bond has been set at $250,000 cash only. A

trial date has been set for October 30 in the case.
