GILBERT RODRIGUEZ, JR. Oct. 26, 1924-Jan. 17, 2006 Gilbert Rodriguez, Jr., age 81, passed away January 17, 2006 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Ky. He was born October 26, 1924, in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of the late Gilbert and Celia Loya Rodriguez. He married Doris Tucker Rodriguez, who survives. He is survived by six children-Matthew, Lois, and Owen Rodriguez of Monticello, Ky., Kevin Rodriguez of Albany, Ky., Jeff Tucker of Connersville, Ind. and Deborah Sawicki of Elk Grove, Ill.; one sister-Gloria Schaaf of California; and one half brother-Raul Rodriguez of Mexico. He was preceded in death by two sisters-Celia Ayala and Margaret Celiz; and one brother-Raul Rodriguez. He retired from Chicago Paper Board Container Corp. and Wayne County School System. He served with honor in the Army during WWII. He was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Friday, January 20, 2006 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bobby Morrow and Bro. Michael Hammond officiating. Burial was in Morrow Cemetery. Hickey and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Add a comment |
