Competency hearing set for Clinton County man A competency hearing has been set for a Clinton County man who is accused of killing his parents. Jonathan Burchett was arrested in Wayne County shortly after the August 2004 shooting death of his parents, Ronnie and Charlonia Burchett. The Burchetts resided near the Clinton-Wayne County line. Jonathan Burchett appeared in Clinton Circuit Court recently, where Circuit Judge Eddie C. Lovelace set a competency hearing for February 6 for the defendant. He is also charged with two counts of robbery first degree in connection with the incident. Add a comment |
