Little League sign-ups begin Sign-ups for Wayne County Little League will be held on weekends throughout the month of February. Park office hours will be from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 until 3 p.m. on Sunday. There is a notable change this year. Since Little League began, the cut off date to determine league age has always been August 1. The date for baseball is now April 30 and for softball it is December 31. This year only, t-ballers who won't turn five until after April 30 but before August 1 will be allowed to play. A birth certificate is required when signing up a child to play Little League. Anyone who needs more information should call (606) 348-9551. Add a comment |
