Parmley to face Sloan in Magistrate's race this fall

A special election night insert, included in the May 17 edition of The

Outlook, incorrectly stated that there was no democratic opponent in the

District One Magistrate's race this fall. It should have stated that

republican incumbent District One Magistrate Jerry Sloan will face democrat

Glen A. Parmley in the general election in November. The story also stated

that there is no republican candidate for District One Constable. It should

have stated that the democratic nominee Lewis Brumley will face republican

William B. Wallace this fall.

Also, write-in candidates could be included in fall races. Write-in

candidates can file in local races as late as 10 days prior to the general

election.
