Relay for Life is June 16 The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life is set for Saturday, June 16 at Memorial Park. Things will get underway at 6 p.m., with the Survivors Walk slated for 7 p.m. Relay for Life began in 1985 and remains a celebration of survivorship and remembrance that raises funds for and awareness of the fight against cancer. Teams of walkers raise money and then take to the track at the park for the overnight event. Many fun-filled activities are planned for this year's Relay for Life.
