One man was killed in a two-car collision early Monday morning on KY 90.
According to Deputy Coroner Forrest Hicks, Jesus Mauricio Botero, 35, of Bluebird Lane, Monticello, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at approximately 1:25 a.m.
Hicks said Botero apparently died from blunt force trauma to the head and the left side of the chest.
He indicated that seat belts were in use at the time of the crash, which occurred west of Monticello in the Susie community.
Botero was the driver of a Honda Accord, and there were no passengers in his vehicle.
Hicks said an autopsy has not been ordered in the case.
Botero is survived by a wife and four children.
There were reports that a person in the second vehicle sustained injuries in the crash, but details about the accident were sketchy at press time.
