JOHN MARION GREGORY JOHN MARION GREGORY Mar. 31, 1914-June 8, 2004 John Marion Gregory, age 90, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2004. He was born March 31, 1914 in the Mt. Pisgah community of Wayne County, Ky., the son of the late Greifus and Jane Jones Gregory. He married Ather Irene Crabtree Gregory, who preceded him in death. He is survived by eight children-Dorothy Neal of Louisville, Arnold Gregory of Jamestown, Tenn., Billy Rex Gregory, Betty Neal, Carter Gregory, Garmon Gregory, Roy Gregory and Paul Gregory, all of Monticello, Ky.; two sisters-Sarah Baker and Grace Crabtree; 27 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was one infant daughter-Janta Sue Gregory; three sisters-Dempie Koger, Nina Coffey and Essie Crabtree; five brothers-Herbert, Hubert, Esman, Obie and Ray Gregory; and two grandchildren. He had accepted Christ as his Savior. He was a faithful member of Sandusky Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, June 11, 2004 at Sandusky Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Anson Perkins and Bro. Clyde Adkins officiating. Burial was in Sandusky Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Hickey and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Add a comment |
