Atkinson arrested on numerous drug charges
A Wayne County man was arrested on drug trafficking charges, after the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Boone Street.
According to the Monticello Police Department, Gary D. Atkinson, 44, Monticello, was arrested June 14 and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance first degree, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
The search warrant was executed by the Monticello Police Department and the Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task Force. In connection with the arrest, items of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, Oxycontin and other prescription drugs were seized.
