Cherry arrested following recovery of stolen vehicle
A local woman has been arrested following the recovery of a stolen vehicle. Amy Cherry, 18, of Monticello, was arrested June 20 in Fentress County, Tennessee.
Officers with the Monticello Police Department transported Cherry back to Monticello, where she was charged with theft by unlawful taking over $300. She was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center. The arrest was in connection with a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am that was reported stolen from Tiffany Inn Motel on Friday, June 18. The vehicle was recovered June 20 in Clinton County and valued at over $14,000, it has been released to the owner.
