Poore charged in shooting A Wayne County woman was taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in critical condition following a shooting incident Thursday, July 1. According to the Monticello Police Department, officers responded to the call of a shooting at Worsham Place Apartments at approximately 11:34 p.m. On arrival, officers found Bertie Poore, 49, of Worsham Place Apartments, suffering from a single gunshot wound to the right clavicle area. Poore was taken by Wayne County EMS to the Wayne County Hospital for treatment and was later transferred to Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center in Somerset where she was listed in critical condition on Tuesday morning. Three people were arrested at the scene, including her husband, Carl Poore, 46, who was charged with first degree assault, fleeing or evading police first degree, wanton endangerment, resisting arrest and alcohol intoxication in a public place. In connection with Poore’s arrest, a .22 caliber revolver was seized by Monticello Police. Add a comment |
