ELLIOTT A. MORROW May 4, 1919-Jul. 4, 2004 Elliott A. Morrow, age 85, of Hagerstown, Ind. passed away Sunday, July 4, 2004 at Reid Hospital in Richmond. He was born May 4, 1919 in Buena Vista, Ky., the son of the late William Allen and Hattie Coomer Morrow. He married Ada King Morrow, who survives. He is survived by five children-Helen Morrow Miller of Monticello, Ky., Billy Lewis Morrow of Dublin, Terry Wayne Morrow and Margaret Ann Morrow, both of Hagerstown, and Kevin L. Morrow of Richmond; two half-brothers; two half-sisters; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. He served in the Army during WWII, where he served in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was a member of VFW Post 1282, New Castle and worked in the timber industry. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Hershel Watson officiating. Burial was in Brick Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by William O. Frazier Post 333, American Legion, Hagerstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the National World War II Veteran’s Memorial, Washington, D.C. Culberson Funeral Home in Hagerstown, Ind. in charge of arrangements. Add a comment |
