Football Begins
Football practice for the Wayne County Cardinals officially began Thursday, July 15. The 2004 season begins August 20, when the Cardinals host Pulaski County in their opener. But local fans can get an early look at the 2004 Cardinals on August 6 when they host York Institute in the first scrimmage of the season. First year head coach Shawn Thompson worked with several players during a practice drill last week.
