Two taken into custody following burglary report
One man and one juvenile were taken into custody following a burglary report on Fair Street. Monticello Police received a complaint at 1:18 a.m. Saturday that two people had forced their way into a residence.
Police arrested Elvis Joe Clark, 24, Shrewsberry Street, Monticello and charged him with third degree burglary, alcohol intoxication in a public place and persistent felony offender second degree. He was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
A 17-year-old male was charged with third degree burglary and receiving stolen property and was released to a parent.
