Four are injured in motorcycle accident

Two people were flown to a Lexington hospital and two others were treated at the local hospital following an accident involving a car and a motorcycle on Saturday.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred on Highway 1275 at the intersection with Old Fall Creek. Terry Harper, 34, and Rhonda Harper, 35, both of Danville were on the motorcycle, apparently traveling toward town.

The vehicle was driven by Jimmy Thompson, 32, of Monticello, and was traveling toward Conley Bottom. Thompson, and a passenger in his vehicle, Adell Thompson, 64, were taken to the Wayne County Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Officials say the investigation is continuing.
