Clinton County runaway teenagers are found locally

Two Clinton County teenagers who ran away from their homes were apprehended by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department on Monday, August 2.

The local 911 dispatch was notified on August 2 that two female juveniles who had disappeared from their homes in Clinton County earlier in the morning were allegedly at a residence in the Murl community of Wayne County.

Wayne County Sheriff James Lynn Hill, Deputy Derek Lester, and Monticello Police Officer D.J. Davis responded to the location. After several minutes of searching in a wooded area, Deputy Lester apprehended both of the juveniles.

Both were determined to have been runaways and both were released to the custody of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
