MARGARET DICK ROBERTS May 21, 1919-Aug. 7, 2004 Margaret Dick Roberts, age 82, of the Mill Springs community, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2004 at Wayne County Hospital. She was born May 21, 1919 in Wayne Co., Ky., the daughter of Willie and Rena Correll Dick. She married James O. Roberts, who preceded her in death. She is survived by two children-Carolyn Hopper and Jimmy Roberts, both of Monticello, Ky.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was three brothers-Theo, Robert and Edward Dick. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Bro. Coy Webb officiating. Burial was in Elk Spring Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church Building Fund or First Baptist Church Mission Fund. Hickey and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. I believe I was in the 7th grade and during the fair we had 4H demonstrations as part of our project. Carolyn, you gave a demonstration the same day I did and I remember you and your mother were dressed alike. You both had on grey skirts and pink blouses. Now don't ask me why I remember that but something about that must have stuck in my brain. ha I do remember that I won a trophy that day for my demonstration - but don't ask me what it was on. ha We saw Joyce at the F.H. when Aunt Shirley died and it is always good to reminiscense about the days at Oil Valley School. I am sure you have a wealth of good memories about your Mom as we all do. It's great to know they have gone on to a better place. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
