FAY “LOIS” FULTZ CARRENDER July 7, 1938-Aug. 4, 2004 Fay “Lois” Fultz Carrender, age 66, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2004. She was born July 7, 1938 in Middlesboro, Ky., the daughter of the late Walter Leonard and Virgie Lee Whitaker Fultz. She married Ralph Carrender on January 1, 1978, who survives. She is survived by eight children-Shirley Ward and Carolyn Lovell, both of Monticello, Ky., Kay Webb of Nicholas Co., W.V., Lee and Charles Gunn, both of Johnson City, Tenn., Walter Gunn of Lenoir, N.C., Allen Hardwick of Somerset, Ky., and Arthur Carrender of Jacksonville, N.C.; two step-children-Lucille Meredith and David Carrender, both of Monticello, Ky.; two sisters-Mae Beelar and Kay Laws; one brother-Jackie Fultz; 26 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was one son-Marvin Gunn; and one brother-Bill Fultz. She had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, August 7, 2004 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Rick Watson officiating. Burial was in the Carrender Cemetery.
