Melodie Phelps News Editor Two Wayne County wrestlers brought back national titles from AAU Junior Olympics held recently in Des Moines, Iowa. David Maddox earned first plave in the 275 lb. weight class and Travis Sullivan won first place in the 103 lb. weight class. Reader Comments Gene Pitman (8/19/2004) Two of my sons were wrestlers in High School and College. One was a state qualifier and when he was in college he went to the Nationals three times. I know what it takes for young men like Maddox and Sullivan go through to get what they have just recieved. No athlete works any harder than a dediciated wrestler. You gave what it takes to get to the next step. Thanks for your effort and hard work. I'm pleased. Gene Add a comment |
