JOHN HOMER HANCOCK Nov. 13, 1929-Aug. 18, 2004 John Homer Hancock, age 74, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at his home in Powersburg, Ky. He was born November 13, 1929 in Wayne County, Ky., the son of Nellie Hancock and the late Odell Hancock. He married Margie Edwards on December 17, 1949. He is survived by three daughters-Frances Meece of Nicholasville, Ky., Fonda Stinson and Joetta Choate, both of Powersburg, Ky.; one mother-in-law-Hattie Edwards of Monticello, Ky.; one brother-Joe Bryant Hancock of Monticello, Ky.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was a retired field gauger with South Kentucky Purchasing Co. He was a member of Edwards Chapel Methodist Church in Powersburg, Ky. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Edwards Chapel Methodist Church with Pastor Earnest Mann officiating. Burial was in Edwards Chapel Cemetery. Hoyt G.
