ZELLA CORDER BELL Dec. 22, 1911-Aug. 15, 2004 Zella Corder Bell, age 92, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2004 at her home. She was born December 22, 1911, the daughter of Alfred and Nettie Abbott Corder. She married Woodrow Wilson Bell on August 28, 1932, who preceded her in death. She is survived by five daughters-Anna Ruth Correll, Vanon Foster, Wanda Twyford, Joan Burton and Velda Edwards; one sister-Carrie King; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was one daughter-Jean Raye Bell; two sisters-Lola Ramsey and Anna Lee Burke; and two brothers-Conley and Kohler Corder. She accepted Christ and became a member of Concord Baptist Church. She later became a member of First Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Coy Webb officiating. Burial was in Elk Spring Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or First Baptist Church. Hickey and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Add a comment |
