November election will determine school board seat
No appointment will be made by the State Board of Education to fill Peggy Guffey’s seat on the Wayne County Board of Education. Instead of making an interim appointment, officials have decided to let the November election determine who will fill that seat.
Guffey resigned from the school board in July, citing a change of residence. She represented Division Four on the Wayne County Board of Education.
