AMERICA E. HANCOCK July 7, 1912-Aug. 23, 2004 America E. Hancock, age 92, was born in Putnam County, Tenn. on July 7, 1912, the daughter of the late Daniel and Luellen Catron Hancock. She departed this life Monday evening, August 23, 2004 at Wayne County Hospital. America was the last survivor of twelve children born to the Daniel and Sarah Hancock family. She is survived by several nieces; nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a faithful member of the Union Chapel Freewill Baptist Church as long as her health permitted her to attend. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, August 29, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Danny Burke officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Hoyt G.
