Meth lab is discovered

Monticello — On Friday, January 23, deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff's

Department discovered an active meth lab at the home of Byron Taylor located

on West KY 92 in the Parnell community.

Deputies were at the residence to investigate a shooting incident.

Byron Taylor, 31, of Monticello, Derek Gehring, 25, of Monticello, and

Jonathan Anderson, 29, of Monticello were arrested. All three were charged

with manufacturing methamphetamine and tampering with physical evidence.

They were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.

The Sheriff's Depart-ment was assisted by Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task

Force, the Monticello Fire Department, and the Wayne County EMS.

The investigation is continuing.
