Veterans Day Parade is Friday, November 9

10-31-12 —     The Veterans Day Parade is set for Friday, November 9 at 10 a.m. The  procession will begin at the Hickey and Son Funeral Home on Main  Street and will proceed downtown to the Doughboy.

The ceremony will include speakers, special singing and the  placement of the memorial wreath.

This year's guest speaker will be SFC Timothy Roark, who is  currently serving with Battery C 1/623rd FA. He has served 25 years,  including Desert Shield, Desert Storm and is now preparing to deploy  to Jordan in January.

This is a great opportunity to recognize all veterans, and everyone  is encouraged to attend the parade and ceremony to show their support  for the great men and women who have served this country.

Following the parade, the National Guard Armory will host a chili  dinner for all veterans.
