1-18-12 —     The Wayne County Coroner's Office is investigating the death of a  

night watchman at Monticello Flooring and Lumber Company on Hardwood  

Drive.

    According to information released by Wayne County Coroner Forrest  

Hicks, Michael J. Doss, 52, was found unresponsive by another  

employee at approximately 5:34 a.m. on Thursday, January 12.

    Doss was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:53 a.m. by Hicks.

    He was found outside on a concrete pad near some equipment, where he  

apparently had been sweeping water that had accumulated on the pad.

      The investigation into the cause and manner of death is still  

underway however, at this time there is no evidence of foul play.
