The Back To School Bash, a free event for all school aged children  living in Wayne County, will be held Friday, July 28 from 6 until 8

p.m. at the ASPIRE Center.
Kids who attend will enjoy free food, swimming, school supplies and
inflatables.  There will also be door prizes awarded at the event.
The grand prizes include a laptop computer and a tablet.
Activities will be going on inside and outside the facility. While
outside, kids can enjoy food, games and inflatables. They can also
swim in the ASPIRE Center pool, but must wait to do so until after
they have collected school supplies inside.
In the gymnasium, children can register for door prizes, turn in
their drug-free art work and visit a number of booths, where they can
pick up school supplies.
All school aged children that make and bring a drug-free work of art
the size of a regular paper will receive a gift.
A drawing will be held to award the top prize of a telescope.
An adult must accompany children ages 12 and under who attend the
Back to School Bash. Families are encouraged to bring water and lawn
chairs.
The Back to School Bash is sponsored by Defensive Action Against
Drugs (DAAD), Operation UNITE, the ASPIRE Center, local churches,

businesses and other organizations.
