    Robert Lee Hancock, age 74, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Friday, August 26, 2011 at his home in Monticello, Ky.

    He was born September 14, 1936 in Monticello, Ky., the son of the late George Riley and Molly Lee (Neal) Hancock.

    He was united in marriage to Mary Ada Stinson, who survives him in death.

    He is also survived by two daughters-Melinda (Lloyd) Jones and Lora

(Phillip) Massengale; two grandchildren-Stephen (Ashley) Jones and Jeremiah

(Carolyn) Massengale; and two great grandchildren-Isaiah Massengale and Mason Jones.

    He was preceded in death by one son-Jimmy Randall Hancock; one brother-Oscar Hancock; and two sisters-Luella Stinson and Laura Dishman.

    He was a carpenter, a farmer and the owner of Hancock Grocery.

    Funeral services were held Monday, August 29, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Daniel Richardson and Bro. Bill Sloan officiating.  Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

    The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to:  Hospice of Lake Cumberland
