    Michael Joe Doss, age 52, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Monticello, Ky.

    He was born January 23, 1959 in El Centro, Calif., the son of Earl and Louise (Adkins) Doss.

    He was united in marriage on February 22, 1986 to Janet Sexton, who survives him in death.

    He is survived by two daughters-Jessica Lynn and Ashley Jo Doss, both of Monticello, Ky.; and one granddaughter-Cadence Grace Branscum, of Monticello, Ky.

    He is also survived by his parents-Earl and Louise Doss, of Monticello, Ky.; two brothers-Earl Ray "Bub" and Tommy Doss, both of Monticello, Ky.; and two nephews-Tommy Lee and Corey Doss, of Monticello-Ky.; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

    He served his country with honor for 15 years in the United States Navy.

    Funeral services were held Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Byron Creech and Bro. Clyde Adkins officiating.

    Burial was in the Alexander Cemetery.

    Military honors were performed by DAV Chapter 105.
