    Marie Chriswell age 88, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Henry County Hospital.

    She was born July 27, 1924, in Wayne County, Ky. the daughter of the late Harrison and Mollie Davis Marcum.

    She had resided in New Castle since 1950. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed family activities, working in the yard, especially growing flowers.

She also loved traveling to Kentucky to visit  family, Sunday family gatherings, and cooking.

    Left to cherish her loving memory includes‹three daughters‹Ina Neal (husband‹George), of Munice, Sue Troxell, of New Castle and Patty Bell (husband Doug), of Monticello, Ky.; special nephew‹Danny Marcum (wife

Berdona) of New Castle; seven grandchildren‹Jeff Neal (companion Shelly), of Muncie, Kim Kemper (husband Kris), of Eaton, Stacy Smith (husband Terry), of Selma, Jenny Stearns (husband David), of North Carolina, Amy Troxell, of New Castle, James Turner (companion Karmel), of Monticello, Ky. and Allen Turner, of Monticello, Ky.; 11 great-grandchildren‹Kelsey Stearns, Erin Richardson, Kyle Neal, Sara Adams, Kacy Stone, Kate Smith, Holly Mosier, Zachary Kemper, Madison Turner, Aiden Turner and Kayden Turner; 13 great-grandchildren‹Gracie Boatman, Bradley Richardson, Kaileigh Clifford, Alexis Clifford, Michael Miller, Nicholas Flook, Nicale Neal, McKenzy Stone, Marcus Stone, Neal Mosier, Sam Mosier, Addison Mosier and Lane Kemper; three sisters‹Evalee Crabtree (husband Mintford), of Monticello, Ky., Alice Crabtree (husband Joe Lewis), of Monticello, Ky. and Kaye Crabtree (husband Arnold), of Monticello, Ky.; one brother‹Howard Marcum (wife Hester), of Monticello, Ky.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    She was preceded in death by her husband‹Walter Chriswell; one son‹Herald Chriswell; two great-granddaugters‹Elizabeth Kemper and Miley Stone; one son-in-law‹Elvin Troxell; and five sibling.

    Funeral services were held 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Ingalls officiating. Burial was in the South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.
