Lowe apprehended by Sheriff's Department

1-12-11 —  The Wayne County Sheriff's Department has arrested a man that had

been sought in connection with a multi-county police chase last month.

Robbie Lowe, 35, was apprehended on Monday, December 27, nearly a

week after he allegedly led officials on a chase from Clinton County,

through Wayne County and into Pulaski County.

The chase began following the report of a stolen vehicle in Clinton

County.

The vehicle was apparently abandoned on Sycamore Drive in the

Bronston area of Pulaski County. Police allege that Lowe and a

passenger in the vehicle then fled on foot.

The passenger, Wil-liam T. Kirby, was arrested soon after the

pursuit began and he was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center,

but Lowe remained at large until last Monday.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Department went to a residence at 374

Chestnut Grove Road to serve a warrant on Lowe, who they believed was

staying there. Lowe was taken into custody at about 8:15 p.m. He was

charged with probation violation.

While at the residence, officers found several components that are

consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Operation UNITE

officer were called to assist at the scene.

Joey Stinson, who lived at the residence, was charged with

manufacturing methamphetamine, hindering prosecution or apprehension

second degree, trafficking in a controlled substance first degree and

trafficking in a controlled substance second degree.

Both men were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center. More

charges are expected to be filed against Lowe.
