4-27-11 —     Wayne County Fiscal Court met in special session on Friday, April  

29, and magistrates received a copy of the budget for the next fiscal  

year.

    The budget for fiscal year 2012 totals $8,437,312 in all funds. It  

includes nearly $5 million in the general fund budget.

    Other funds include: road fund, $1,451,749; jail fund, $1,903,820;  

local governmental assistance fund, $55,736; and emergency management  

fund, $19,214.

    No action was required at Friday's meeting.

    The first reading of the budget will be held during the fiscal  

court's regular monthly meeting in May.
