Ralph E. Davis, age 80, passed away Friday, April 3, 2009.

He was born March 13, 1929 in Monticello, Ky., the son of Barney F.

Davis and Mae Bates Davis.

He was married to Virginia Weatherly Davis of Greenfield, Ind. for over

50 years, who survives.

He is also survived by a son-Alan K. Davis of New Palestine, Ind.;

brothers-Paul (Stella) Davis of Richmond, Ind. and Buster (Kathy) Davis of

Rushville, Ind.; grandchildren-Shane Davis, Kassie Davis, Sammy and Bambi

Davis; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by Barney and Mae Davis; sister-Pauline

Bertrem; and brothers-Gene, Ellis, and Billy Davis.

Ralph was a Master Sergeant in the Army in the Korea War.

He worked for Ford Motor Company for over 30 years before retiring in

1988. Mr. Davis was a member of the NRA. He loved fishing, camping and

Bluegrass music.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the

funeral home chapel. Burial followed in the Glen Haven Cemetery in Boston,

Ind.
