    Oscar Turner, age 81, of Urbana, Ill., passed away Saturday, October 20,

2012 at Provena Medical Center.

    He was born May 20, 1931 in Monticello, KY., the son of the late Hiram Travis Turner and Martha Alice (Childers) Turner Myers.

    He is survived by one son‹Ralph Turner, of Monticello, Ky.; two daughters, Cathy Sue Miller, of Urbana, Ill. and Debbie Stringer, of Monticello, Ky.; and two grandchildren‹Shawn Turner and Travis Miller; one step-grandchild‹Mike Stringer; and six great-grandchildren-Kimmy, Gabe, Natalie, Kelsey, Kayliegh and Kami. He is also survived by one brother-Kenneth Turner, of Albany, Ky.; and two sisters-Lena and Zona Mae, both of Ill.; along with a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.

    He was preceded in death by his siblings‹Ralph Turner, Flora Winfrey, Everett Turner, Estel Turner, Mansel Turner and Lizzie Thomas.

    Funeral Services were held Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Anson Perkins and Bro. Willie Williams officiating. Burial was in the New Sandusky Cemetery.
