JUANITA HICKS ROBERTS

10-31-12 —     Aug. 1, 1926‹Oct. 21, 2012

Juanita Hicks Roberts was born August 1, 1926 on Spann Hill the youngest child of Joe and Sally Hicks. She attended school on Spann Hill and Raleigh Creek. She went to be with her Lord on October 21, 2012

On January 19, 1946 she married William A. Roberts the son of Billy and Rosie Roberts of Spann Hill.

With her husband they owned and operated a business on Hwy. 90 known as No Knox Inn for about a year. A few years later her and her husband became Christians and Bro. William was called to preach. They lived in Illinois where Bro. Roberts pastored churches. In 1975 they moved to Mississippi for church work.

As husband and wife the Lord blessed them with four daughters and one son. They were Shirley, Wanda, Brenda, Deborah and Timothy Andrew.

She was preceded in death by Shirley, Brenda and Wanda.

Deborah and Tim survive with her husband.

She was a faithful helpmate to her pastor husband and a loving mother to her children. She was very proud of the grand and great-grandchildren she had.

She had a great voice and could sing alto with anyone. She helped her husband record four full length albums.

She became ill and was taken to the hospital and told it was cancer of the fast moving kind. Twelve days later she died.

She was laid to rest on Spann Hill at the Baptist Church Cemetery where most of her family are buried.

She has left an empty place in her loving family, that can never be filled. But memories is something that death can't destroy. She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her family.

But we thank the good Lord that she is out of her suffering and resting in the presence of her Savior whom she loved and served for many years where there will be no more pain and sorrow.

But we live in hope through the word of our Lord someday maybe soon we will be together never to part again. So sweetheart rest in peace I will be there with you soon.

Thanks unto our Lord for His great loving grace where by we are saved and kept until that day. Amen.
