9-14-11 — June 5, 1932-Sept. 10, 2011

    Mary Marlene Weddle Gifford, daughter of the late James Clarence and Thelma Flynn Weddle, was born on June 5, 1932. She departed this life on Saturday September 10, 2011, having attained the age of  79 years.

    She was united in marriage to Mr. William Robert Gifford on January 1, 1950  in Somerset, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1990.

    Survivors include four daughters-Lisa (Gary) Compton, of Somerset, Ky., Kathy (Bill) Clouse, of Somerset, Ky., Robyn (Allan) Cheuvront, of Somerset, Ky., and Kelly (Calvin) McFarland, of Monticello, Ky.; one granddaughter-Katie McFarland, of Monticello, Ky.; seven grandsons- Dr.

Aaron (Monica) Compton, of Louisville, Ky., Dr. Shea (Ashley) Cheuvront, of Somerset, Ky., Matthew Clouse, of Somerset, Ky., Brett Compton, of Somerset, Ky., Andrew Clouse, of Somerset, Ky., Cameron Cheuvront, of Somerset, Ky.

and Alex McFarland, of Monticello , Ky.; one sister-Elgene  ³Genie²  Weddle Whitson, of Greenwood, Ind.;  a niece and nephew-Lynda Bricker and Craig Whitson; one brother-in-law-Horace Gifford of Danville, Ky.

    She was also preceded in death by twin sons-Anthony and Timothy Gifford.

    She was a successful realtor for twenty years, past president of the Somerset-Pulaski County Board of Realtors, an American Contract Bridge Life Master, and a member of the West Somerset Baptist Church.

    She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

    Funeral services were held in the funeral home chapel at  11 a.m.

Wednesday, September 14, 2011 with  Bro. David Pendley and Dr. Curtis Sellers officiating.  Burial was in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
