OLLIE COOPER
Mar. 26, 1930-Jan. 22, 2010
Ollie Cooper, age 79, of Number One, passed away on January 22, 2010 at Vanderbilt University Hospital. Ollie, who was born March 26, 1930, was the daughter of William Odell and Bascal Mae Watson Cooper, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were tow sisters, Irene Cooper and Faye Lorene Cooper; grandparents, John Kelly Cooper and Fannie Dobbs Cooper Alexander, and James Watson and Rita Hughes Watson; step-grandparents, Tallie Morris Cooper and Sarah Simpson Watson.
Ollie accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church. She later attended Sandusky Chapel Baptist Church.
Ollie remained a devout Christian who read the Bible daily and lived an exemplary life, giving selflessly to others. In her early years Ollie worked as a farmer and a caregiver before moving to Pennsylvania where she worked at a nursing home, Welch's, a cherry canning factory, and a meat packing company in New York. She then returned to a small farm and provided care for her father until his death. Ollie was an angel whose care and compassion will be sorely missed until we see her again in heaven. She is now one of God's angels.
