10-20-10 — Jan. 6, 1947-Oct. 16, 2010

    Verna Hunley Sexton, age 63, was born January 6, 1947 the daughter of the late Bailey and Mary Daniels Hunley. She passed away Saturday morning October 16, 2010 at her home after a very long illness.

    On September 2, 1966 she united in marriage with Isaac Roy Sexton, who survives. To this union three children survive-Sylvia and her husband, Hank Tucker, Christina and her husband, David Scott and Scott Sexton.

    Also surviving are her grandchildren-Joshua and Whitney Tucker, David and Emma Scott; and her siblings-Fairy Looney, Harrison Hunley, Mack Hunley, Bessie Coffey, Anna Piercy and Billy Hunley

    She is preceded in death by her granddaughter-Samantha Jo Tucker; and siblings-Jewell Sexton and Ben Hunley.

    She had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Monticello First Church of God and attended the Monticello Church of the Nazarene.

    The funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Oral Denney and Bro. Bob Duranceau officiating.  Burial followed in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
