10-6-10 — March 8, 1959-Sept. 22, 2010

    David Joseph Phelan, age 51, was born March 8, 1959 in Indianapolis, Ind. the son of Barbara Faye Coffey and Theodore Joseph Phelan of Monticello.  He departed this life, Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

    He is survived by his parents; three children-Jerimiah Joseph Phelan, Jessica Faye Phelan and Kyle Jason Stepheson; three grandchildren-Kaitlyn Marie Phelan, Josiah Almond Phelan and Brennan Alexander Stepheson.

    Also surviving are his sisters-Rhonda Faye Mitchell and JaLane Marie Reese and two brothers-Mark Theodore Phelan and Stanley Patrick Phelan; with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

     The funeral service was held Monday afternoon in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Roy Gregory officiating, burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
