    Bertha A. Rednour Overman, age 84, Avon, Ind., died June 6, 2010.

    She was born July 17, 1925 in Wayne County, Ky. to Richard and Fannie

(Lowe) Rednour.

    She was married to Mark Shelton, who preceded her in death. She then married, John Overman in 1960.

    She was employed at RCA in Indianapolis for 29 years, before retiring in 1986. She had been a union steward for 17 of those years.

    Survivors include her husband-John; three sons-Sam (Shirley) Shelton of Monticello, Donald Shelton of Indianapolis, Joe (Brenda) Shelton and Earl Overman, all of Avon; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

    She is also survived by her brothers-Logan (Mae) Howard of Monticello Ky., George (Marie) Grayer of Albany Ky., and Pete (Sue) Grayer of Indianapolis.

    She was preceded in death by a brother-Robert Rednour and grandson-Earl Overman, Jr.

    Services were held Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Cartersburg.
