    Margie Caroleene Vaughn, age 69, of Pendleton went to be with the Lord after a four year valiant battle with cancer.

    She was born June 4, 1943 in Wayne County, Ky. and had lived in Pendleton since 1972. She retired in 2011 as a hairdresser after 50 years.

    She was baptized at First Southern Baptist, Indianapolis and attended various churches throughout her life.

    She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wendell E. Vaughn, of Pendleton; daughter‹Kim (husband Mark) Hanshew, of Anderson; son ‹Kevin E.

(wife Karla) Vaughn, of Pendleton; grandchildren‹Andrew (Ashley) Hanshew, of Evansville, Luke Vaughn (fiancee Emily Browning) and Logan Vaughn, all of Pendleton; sister‹Lin Thompson (David) Garretson, of Sammamish, Wash.; brothers‹Bud (Trisha) Thompson, of Corydon, Ind. and Randy (Rhonda) Thompson, of Bronston, Ky.; and many well loved nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas K. Flynn, Geneva Coffey Flynn Thompson and Cecil R. Thompson, Sr.

     Funeral services were held Monday, May 13, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bud Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Grovelawn Cemetery.
